#48 Matcha vs. Coffee

In the beginning of this semester, after taking a break from coffee (after consuming so much during Fall finals) my body could not handle the caffeine rush. I don’t know exactly why my body suddenly started rejecting caffeine because I was able to drink two cups a day with no problem. My caffeine rush would be so bad that I was not able to concentrate in class because I was so fidgety and hyper. I still needed caffeine, but on a moderate level, so I started drinking a lot of black and green tea. One friend recommended I try matcha, which is a type of green tea and I grew to love it. I even bought a bag to make my own lattes. Now I consider myself a matcha latte expert and say I make some really good ones with confidence. If you haven’t tried matcha, I encourage you to, because it is a great source of caffeine and also an antioxidant.
