Lunch on-the-go
In reality, I don’t always have the time or energy to make myself healthy meals, especially when I have tests or a busy week. Thankfully, there are many different options available to eat clean and healthy. Organic and natural foods grocery stores like Central Market, Whole Foods, and Sprouts have “make-your-own” salad stations where you can choose the ingredients in your salad. The advantage of making your own salad (as opposed to buying one that is already made) is that you are able to control portions and ingredients. Be careful with the dressings and avoid high carb, sugar, and fat ones. Instead, choose balsamic vinegar or olive oil.
