One if the things that kept me from becoming a vegetarian sooner was my love for sushi. As basic as it is, sushi is “my favorite food” so it was hard to accept the fact that once I gave up animal meat I was giving up sushi as well. After a month of being a vegetarian, I decided I would eat sushi, or a poke bowl once in a while as my “cheat meal”. But before completing this month I went to two places to try their vegan sushi. The first one, was in Dallas and I almost cried when they brought my plate, they were the smallest roles with just a dot of sweet potato, cucumber, avocado and sun-dried tomatoes. Thirty minutes after leaving the restaurant I was hungry again! Thankfully, I visited Piranha Killer Sushi in Austin which gave me hope about being a vegetarian. I ordered the Veggie Summer roll pictured below which was SOO good. Even if I wasn’t I vegetarian, I would’ve still ordered it because it was so full of flavor and very filling. I also like how creative the restaurant was for the presentation of the plate, it looked so nice and filling when I got it. Thank Piranha Killer Sushi for serving amazing vegan sushi!!
